When should I rent an articulating boom instead of a scissor lift?

A scissor lift only goes straight up, so the base has to sit directly under the work. An articulating boom can park in one spot and swing the platform up, out and over obstacles like landscaping, parked vehicles, roof edges or equipment. If you cannot get a scissor lift directly beneath the job, you need a boom.

Can I use a diesel boom lift indoors?

Not in an enclosed space. Diesel exhaust needs ventilation and the rough terrain tires can mark finished floors. For warehouses, gyms, churches and other indoor work, rent one of our electric articulating booms, which are fume-free and have non-marking tires.
