Huntertown, Leo-Cedarville & Wallen Coverage
About 19 miles from Huntertown via CR-11A, our Waterloo, IN location makes Wakarusa Heavy Equipment one of the closest full-service rental and sales companies for contractors and property owners in the area. We rent skid steers, excavators, wheel loaders, rollers, and haul trucks from a growing fleet of machines, all backed by our own in-house service department.
Because we're family-owned and operated, Huntertown customers work directly with people who know both the equipment and the job sites, from picking the right machine to keeping it running for the length of your rental. We also stock loaner machines you didn't rent or buy from us. We're also a Takeuchi dealer, so Huntertown customers can get genuine Takeuchi parts and service here too.
Why Huntertown Contractors Choose Us
Keeping Up With Huntertown's Growth
Huntertown is one of the fastest-growing communities in northern Allen County, with new subdivisions, schools, and commercial pads going in on the north side of Fort Wayne. That growth means steady demand for site prep, utility trenching, foundation digs, and finish grading. Compact track loaders, mini excavators, and rollers are ready for residential and commercial jobs alike.
Our Waterloo location is about 19 miles away, so same-day pickup is an easy trip. Every rental comes with support from our own in-house service department, not a call center, so a mechanical question gets answered by someone who actually knows the machine. We're also a factory-authorized Takeuchi dealer, so genuine parts and trained technicians are part of the deal.

Customer Testimonials
"I usually work on my own equipment. My Takeuchi Skid Steer had a few issues that had compiled, and eventually it developed a no crank no start issue. Me and my buddies spent days trying to figure it out. I finally dropped it off to Wakarusa, and they figured it out way quicker than I expected, way more things than I even realized were bad, and for an incredibly reasonable rate. These guys are quick and I will certainly be back! I may even take stuff to them before I try to fix it myself next time."
