Half an Hour Down IN-19 From Mishawaka
Wakarusa Heavy Equipment is 19 miles south of Mishawaka, and IN-19 runs almost door to door, so Mishawaka customers can be at the yard in about 30 minutes or have a machine delivered the same morning. We rent compact track loaders, skid steers, mini and full-size excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, rollers, telehandlers, boom and scissor lifts, and articulated haul trucks, all maintained in our own shop by the technicians who service the machines we sell.
We are family-owned, so when you call you reach someone who knows the equipment and can tell you which machine fits a Mishawaka lot, how to get it through the gate, and what attachment will save you a second trip. Delivery is quoted by address and is usually the better deal on anything heavier than a mini excavator.
Built for Mishawaka Work
Retail Corridors, Riverfront and Subdivisions
Mishawaka's commercial work runs along the Grape Road and Main Street retail corridors, the University Park area, and the medical and office campuses on the north side, where boom lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers for tenant build-outs, signage and facade work are the everyday rentals. The riverfront parks and downtown projects along the St. Joseph River add grading, hardscape and compaction work on top of that.
On the residential side, Mishawaka and Granger are full of subdivisions with new lots to grade, pools and patios to dig, fences to set and drainage to fix in heavy clay. Our mini excavators, compact track loaders, trenchers and stump grinders handle that work, and the smaller machines fit through a standard backyard gate. Homeowners rent from us every week, and we walk you through the controls at delivery if it is your first time on a machine.

Customer Testimonials
"I usually work on my own equipment. My Takeuchi Skid Steer had a few issues that had compiled, and eventually it developed a no crank no start issue. Me and my buddies spent days trying to figure it out. I finally dropped it off to Wakarusa, and they figured it out way quicker than I expected, way more things than I even realized were bad, and for an incredibly reasonable rate. These guys are quick and I will certainly be back! I may even take stuff to them before I try to fix it myself next time."
